Not many students know about Hong Kong, but it is currently one of the best study abroad destinations. Here is the first fact, here is the full name of this territory, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People&#39;s Republic of China. It is place that is not a country, not a state, not a province nor a city. It is just region that was once a part of China then it became a British Colony. In world war II, it was occupied by Japan but it came back to British control in 1945. After about a century it again become Chinese territory. It is world&rsquo;s fourth most densely populated territory.

	It is world&rsquo;s largest economy and one of world&rsquo;s most important financial centers. It also has the highest Financial Development Index score. Most of the world&rsquo;s billionaires are found in Hong Kong. Hong Kong has also achieved many accomplishments in the field of higher education. It provides a great quality of education to only its native but hundreds of foreigner students. Many students around the world are now coming to Hong Kong for education. In the latest QS Ranking of Best Universities for 2018, Five universities of Hong Kong made in Top 100. It is the fifth country with most universities in Top 100 of the world.

	There are total 20 universities in Hong Kong that can award degrees. 8 of the universities in Hong Kong are public and in all of them, English is primary language for teaching most of the courses. So, you don&rsquo;t need to learn Chinese but only English that is just compulsory for study abroad destinations. QS has also ranked Hong Kong the Best country to study Dentistry. Moreover, it is ranked 6th for Education &amp; Training and 9th for Civil &amp; Structural Engineering and Mineral &amp; Mining Engineering. For more 29 subjects, Hong Kong universities are ranked in Top 50s.

	Established in 1937, Hong Kong Polytechnic University is 5th best higher education institute of Hong Kong. This year QS ranked it 96th best university of the world to study in 2018. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong. It is a public university. There are over 32,000 students at this institute, managed by academic staff of 1230, working towards a better future. I offers over offers 220 postgraduate, undergraduate and sub-degree programs for students that come here from all around the world.

	City University of Hong Kong is a public university located in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon. It is ranked 4th best higher educational institute of its country. Though it was founded in 1884 but it was not accredited until 1994. There are over 22,000 students enrolled in this institute which is educated by an academic staff of 12,00. QS has also ranked it 49th best university of the world to study in 2018 which has caused an attention of many international students towards this institute. It also offers dual degree programs with well-known universities.

	The Chinese University of Hong Kong is another public research university of Hong Kong located in Shatin and founded in 1963. It is ranked 3rd best higher educational institute of its country and 46th best of the world for 2018. It is organized into 9 constituent colleges and 8 academic faculties making it only collegiate university in the Hong Kong. There are over 30,000 students being educated in this institute. Alumni and members of this institute has won most awards and prizes in Hong Kong including Four Nobel Prizes. Chinese University of Hong Kong uses two languages to teach that English and Chinese, however, most programs are taught in English.

	Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a research public university located in Clear Water Bay Peninsula. It is ranked 2nd best higher educational institute of its country. This year, it is ranked 30th best university of the world for 2018. There are currently over 10 thousand students enrolled of which about 4 thousand are Non-locals. It offers Over 39 undergraduate courses and more than 69 postgraduate courses. The university comprises 4 disciplinary schools offering degrees in all fields of education.

	University of Hong Kong is a public research institute and oldest higher education institute of Hong Kong. It is also referred to as Hong Kong University (HKU). Founded in 1911, HKU is located in Pok Fu Lam. It is ranked Best higher educational institute of its Hong Kong. In the latest QS Ranking for best universities of world, HKU was ranked 26th best university of the world.

	There are 10 faculties in HKU that use English language to teach. Currently there are over 28,000 students enrolled at University of Hong Kong with an academic staff of about 3500. They offer over 89 undergraduate and 108 postgraduate courses. Main campus of HKU comprises 160,000 square meters.
