Description

United States and United Kingdom, both are the top study abroad destination for centuries. These two countries have always dominated the world of education. Most ancient educational institutes can be found in these countries. Most of the research work of today in every possible field is done by these two countries. Both countries have universities that no other institute even come close to. If you see the list of top 100 universities of world, most of them are in United States or United Kingdom.

Some ranking organizations rank America the best country with higher education and some are in the favor of United Kingdom. Of all these organizations, most prominent are Times Higher Education and QS and both have different opinions on best country for higher education. In today’s article I have brought solution to this confusion. In this article, you will see a comparative analysis of USA and UK as study abroad destinations.

Higher Education System

UK Higher Education System:

When other countries did not even have the concept of school, United Kingdom was busy building universities like Oxford and have always maintained the best quality of education. United Kingdom is the best student attraction in the world with second most international students. There are over 105,000 courses taught in 700 universities of United Kingdom. There are numerous financial support options for international students who wish to study in UK. Times Higher Education favors the United Kingdom more than USA and has ranked prestigious Oxford University the top ranked of the world.

· SEE ALSO: What City to Go in USA for Higher Education

USA Higher Education System:

USA is the country with most international students studying there at present. According to QS Ranking, United States of America is currently the best place for higher education. It is home to world’s best universities and it has developed a higher education that has proved second to none and provides a untainted quality of education that one cannot find in any other country. QS has ranked Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the best university of America and the world. There are over 4,000 universities in United States of America. Now which country you should choose as your study abroad destination mostly depends on you after reading this article. I am here going to summarize a few details for you.

Both countries almost cost same to study. Both countries have great higher education system. Both countries degrees are worldwide respected. Both countries allow internationals students to work. Both have a lot of achievements.

If you are planning to reside permanently then United Kingdom is definitely not for you. Recently UK has made their policies strict because almost all of the students who went to UK gained permanent residency and stayed there. Now, they won’t allow many students to stay there.

However, I am not a big fan of America since the Trump came to rule. They have been very strict with foreigners and we never know when Trump might ask Muslims to leave. Still racism ratio in UK and USA is also almost same.

<span style="font-family: "courier new", courier, monospace;">Usama Ahmed Awan

<span style="font-family: "times new roman", times, serif;">The Editor of StudyAbroad.pk, Usama is a BZU studied Software Engineer, now a Teacher, Article Writer, Educational Counselor and Journalist.
