	Italy is a beautiful cultural country with its own unique style and civilization. Unfortunately not many people are aware of Italy as study abroad destination still it attracts thousands of students every year to mover there for higher education. It is basically a Non-English country just like Germany and France. Their native language is Italian. It offers English-Taught programs in which whole lectures and study work is done in English language as English in the most spoken international language.

	Italy is 13th best country for higher education system. It did not get this place without doing anything. <a href="http://www.polimi.it/en/" target="_blank">Polytechnic University of Milan</a> is the top ranked university of the world it is ranked 183rd in the world. In addition, this university has proved itself among the most tops in specific fields like in Arts and Design it is ranked 10th best university of the world. Oldest European higher educational institute, <a href="http://www.unibo.it/en/homepage" target="_blank">University of Bologna</a>&cedil; is also situated in Italy and currently it is ranked 208th best university of the world.

	During the phase when students are deciding a country where they can go for education, they always discuss the &lsquo;Cost factor&rsquo; before finalizing any destination. Studying abroad can be a pretty expensive experience after all you are moving to a whole new country in a different part of the world and have to pay high university fees. As not everyone is from a millionaire family, having the complete knowledge of cost and expenses is important before you go abroad for education. I have above discussed a few details about Italy. In this article, our chief subject is the cost of studying abroad in Italy.

	Since it is not very easy to cover a complete study abroad trip, we have to carefully plan every little detail we are going spend in a foreign country. If you have got admission in a foreign university, and you know you can somehow manage its fees. But it is not possible to survive just with that. Following are the most general expenses that you must be prepared for.

	Educational Expenses:</h2>

	The most difficult expenses that a student has to face are the educational expenses. In educational expenses, you will have to cover your admission fee and after that semester or year fee. Admission fee is a one-time thing that you pay only when getting admission with the fees of first year. Usually, the tuition fee is paid for whole coming year. One year covers about two semesters. Depending on the program you applied for, you will pay fee at the start of each academic year.

	Exact fee depends on the place in Italy &nbsp;you go to, the university and the program you got admission in. University fees in Italy costs between 1,800 Euro (211,000 PKR) to 6,000 Euro (703,000 PKR).

First of all, you should know where you are going to live and what choices do you have. There is two types of residence that you can while studying abroad generally referred to as:

	Off-Campus Residence is any place to live that is not located inside your university or college premises. This type of accommodation is provided by the university and you have to find one yourself. This type of Accommodation is usually expensive. This type of accommodation usually costs about 31,500 PKR per month.

	On-Campus Residence , as the name suggests, is any accommodation that is located inside your university or college premises. On campus residence has its own pros and cons, mostly pros though. Inside university, you can live near to your all class fellows, department with every facility available there. This accommodation is usually cheaper, easier. This usually costs about 28,000 PKR per month.

	Food and Groceries:</h2>

	Cost of food and groceries usually depends on your taste and diet. It is an important factor if you eat out or cook at home. Eating can be more expensive than cooking home. However, if you are living in the university student halls of residence, you will most probably be provided the facility of mess. In mess, you can eat regularly at cheap and you pay for it at the end of the month. An average student spends about 18,000 Pakistani Rupees per month at his/her diet.

	Transportation:</h2>

You must be aware that there can be two types of transportation. One is private like Taxis and other is public like Buses and local Trains. Private transportation is, of course, quite expensive compared to public. Depending on the city, it costs about 3,000 to 4,000 Pakistani Rupees per month if you travel in public transport for whole month.

	Extra Costs:</h2>

	Other than the basic needs, one also have a lot of things to do that require you to spend money. Though, this is entirely in your control and you choose where and how much to spend. It is recommended, to keep extra monthly cost of at least 5,000 PKR in your mind. You never know where you might need to spend it. There can also be plans with friends to eat or travel around the city.
