Description

Every year a great number of students from Pakistan go abroad for higher education. All students achieve their goals of acquiring quality education and expanding their thoughts. It is a good thing for a country if its young generation goes through all effort of going to a foreign country. This way the country gets motivated minds that have the real knowledge of the world and the system and are well aware of make their nation great. Pakistani government, no matter how it is, still tries to promote studying abroad as much as possible by distributing scholarships and grants and many eligible Pakistani students go abroad on government’s expenses.

It is a very good thing thousands of Pakistani students going abroad for education but, sadly, many of them don’t permanently return to homeland. They make their study destination their permanent residence. Most the students who do come after completing their education are the once that did not get permanent residency visa of that country. Pakistan is the country that provides them the opportunities to study abroad, they go abroad on Pakistani passport, they spend what they earned from Pakistan but after they have successfully achieved what was their goal; they ignore this very nation they used to call home.

After you have studied abroad, it rapidly increases your chances of getting a permanent or work visa of that country. So, most of the students, avail this opportunity without any mistake or second thoughts. If you study abroad, it will be easier for you to permanent residency there. There is nothing wrong with having a foreign residency but to leave the country when you have the ability and it is your turn to do something for it won’t be moral. In this article, I have discussed this important issue of why Pakistani students don’t come back after studying abroad and the main the reasons or excuses behind this act.

To Get Global Perspective:

When you are getting education in a foreign country away from your home, you realize how bounded you were or how little your thoughts were because of the limited society you were living in. There is more way more to the world then what you had ever imagined living in just one place in same kind of people. Studying abroad, you get a bigger global perception of the world, system and humans. A lot of students don’t come back to their country after studying abroad, instead start living in the same country or go to other countries so they can get more expanded view of the world. They want to learn more the about world and what they don’t know.

This learning process is not just limited to education in a university but travelling around the world, meeting new people and understanding their thoughts and views. You will know it when you will study abroad that how different people are and they are not necessarily wrong but different than you are. Some Pakistanis, who better understand this, go on living a foreigner’s life to learn more and make themselves better in every field of life like business or ethics.

Better Environment:

There is no doubt that developed countries that host most international students have better environment and lifestyle than Pakistan. There are many faults in Pakistan but it is home. Home is like family, you don’t leave your family, you make them better. However, it can be difficult to again adjust to Pakistani lifestyle when you have lived in a foreign country. You will see that foreign countries have better management in every field from smallest to biggest like from clean streets to administering the law. That may sometimes be rare for a common man to find in Pakistan. To live a better lifestyle in more open society many Pakistani students return after completing their study.

More Opportunities:

This is another fact and the reason why Pakistani students don’t permanently return after studying abroad. There are more opportunities in other developed countries compared to Pakistan. There are many jobs you can in big cities like Lahore and Karachi but still for better job and development people prefer living abroad. In addition, salaries you get in Pakistan are not as big as you get in a developed foreign country. Though Pakistan is cheaper than most foreign countries still people prefer to live as in addition to high income they also get a higher lifestyle.

Comparison with Pakistan:

This is general or root cause of Pakistani students not permanently returning to Pakistan. Pakistan is a developing country. There are many things wrong with Pakistan. There is poverty, illiteracy, no law, rule of powerful and rich, unstable government. Pakistan is now becoming better with the passage of time but everything takes time. We can’t deny the fact that Pakistan is not the best country to live in.

When students go abroad, they start to compare everything they see or learn there to Pakistan. As Pakistan is now, it will definitely lose in a comparison with developed countries. In this comparison, they start learn all liabilities and bad in Pakistan and with that also start to dislike it. Disliking their own homeland causes them to leave it and live in a foreign country better than Pakistan and what can be better than the very country they are studying in. I think it would have been better if after identifying all that is wrong with Pakistan, instead of turning face from it, they would work to improve it. This way they will not have to leave their home and pay back for all that Pakistan has done for them. Don’t confuse Pakistani government with Pakistan, they may be bad or corrupt but it does not mean that Pakistani is corrupt.

Go to our News and Events for more Latest Informative and Interesting Articles

Want to Study Abroad?
