<div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">The title may be a little confusing to you. That is, probably, because you are unaware of an important piece of information that every educated Pakistani must know, especially, those who plan to go abroad for education in future. The purpose of writing this article is to inform all my educated fellows about Levels (years) of education called Graduation in Pakistani that follows a different set of rules than those of international. Following is step by step easy explanation of these concepts and all the level of education recognized all over the world.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <hr /> </div> <div align="center"> </div> <div align="center"> <span style="font-size:28px !important;"><strong><u>Pakistani Graduation</u></strong></span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">What is graduation in Pakistan? Basically, all the education we get after the Intermediate, that is 12 years of education, is called <strong>Graduation </strong>in Pakistan.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:20px !important;"><strong><u>Bachelors:</u></strong> </span> After intermediate if you have studied two more years and completed <strong>14 years of education</strong>, referred to as <strong>Bachelors</strong>, is <strong>Graduation</strong> and you are called a <strong>Graduate</strong>.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:20px !important;"><strong><u>Masters:</u></strong></span> Now after your bachelors if you study for two more years completing <strong>16 years of education</strong>, referred to as <strong>Masters</strong>, is also <strong>Graduation</strong> and you are called a <strong>Graduate or Masters</strong>.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">Often <strong>four years of education after intermediate</strong>, called BS, is also referred as <strong>Bachelors instead of Masters</strong>. For example, BSCS a four year degree, means Bachelors of Sciences in Computer Sciences.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:20px !important;"><strong><u>MPhil:</u></strong></span> Going further, studying for two more years completing <strong>18 years of education</strong>, referred to as <strong>MPhil </strong><em>(Magister Philosophiae or Philosophiae Magister or most commonly used Masters of Philosophy)</em>, is basically also <strong>Graduation</strong> and we don’t have specific name for this level of scholar.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:20px !important;"><strong><u>PhD:</u></strong> </span> Next up level is called <strong>PhD</strong> <em>(Philosophiae Doctor or Doctor Philosophiae or most commonly used Doctor of Philosophy),</em> in which you study for more 2 – 3 years completing about <strong>20 -22 years of education</strong>, this level is, as a matter of fact, also called <strong>Graduation</strong> and you are given the honorary title of Doctor though you don’t check patients and give medicines. To differentiate them from medical doctors, they are referred to as <strong>Philosophy Doctor</strong>. This is the highest level of education degree you can get in Pakistan.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">· <em>[See: <a href="http://studyabroad.pk/news-event/best-universities-of-world-latest-the-2017-ranking-4376" target="_blank"><span style="color:#0000ff;">World’s Best Top Ranked Universities, Latest THE 2017 Ranking</span></a>]</em></span></div> <div> </div> <div> <hr /> </div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">Mentioned above were all levels of education in Graduation and their names in Pakistan. Following are the two levels of Graduation.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:22px !important;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Pakistani Undergraduate: </strong></span></span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">A student studying <strong>under level of Bachelors</strong> is called <strong>undergraduate in Pakistan</strong>. You can say, if you are studying in 13th or 14th year of education, you are an undergraduate.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:22px !important;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Pakistani Postgraduate:</strong></span></span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">A student studying, <strong>over level of Bachelors</strong> is called <strong>postgraduate in Pakistan</strong>. If you are studying in Masters, MPhil or PhD; you are a Postgraduate student. Any year of study over 14th is considered Postgraduate in Pakistan.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <hr /> </div> <div align="center"> </div> <div align="center"> <span style="font-size:28px !important;"><strong><u>International Graduation</u></strong></span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;">International Graduation has higher level of education than of Pakistan. All the education we get after is <strong>14 years of education</strong>, is called <strong>Graduation on international level</strong>.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:20px !important;"><strong><u>Bachelors:</u></strong></span> If you have completed <strong>16 years of education</strong> then you are referred to as <strong>Bachelor</strong> or <strong>graduate</strong> and this level is called <strong>Bachelors</strong> or <strong>Graduation on international level</strong>.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:20px !important;"><strong><u>Masters:</u></strong> </span> Now after your bachelors if you study for two more years completing <strong>18 years of education</strong>, referred to as <strong>Masters</strong>, is also <strong>Graduation</strong> and you are called a <strong>Graduate or Masters</strong>.</span></div> <div> </div> <div> <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:20px !important;"><strong><u>MPhil:</u></strong></span> MPhil is also <strong>18 years of education</strong>.
