The campuses that are responsible to confer with country colleagues involved in the study abroad programs management. No one wants to risk student safety.

The availability of internet has made easy to communicate and the parents can obtain necessary information accurately in case of emergency. Most of the campuses offer effective consultation system for making a positive decision about the program operation.

There are only a few countries in which where there are street crimes and violence. USA is one of such countries and the students of U.S that go to other countries find themselves easy and safer there as compared to their home country. It does not mean that there is no crime in other countries or U.S is full of crimes. There is no country where complete safety of the student is assured so the parents must keep this thing in mind. Minor street crimes are found everywhere. Pick-pocketing is one of the street crimes that is found almost in every country. The cities that are crowded often have pick-pocketing crime and the foreign students usually report of such problems.

The countries that are at odds with their neighboring countries usually face crimes so we are discussing them so that the foreign students may take precautionary measures to be careful.

Safety and security is the major concern that the students are facing from past few years. There are usually three basic concerns that almost every student faces when he arrives in a foreign country. But these are not the safety issues. The safety issue includes crimes and terrorism. Terrorism is the reality of 20th century that is not diminishing besides different efforts being made. Due to political scenarios, there could be some terrorism. There could be different types of natural disasters. Parents feel worried for their children when they are far. So the parents and the students must communicate regularly in satisfactorily with each other in order to inform the parents about their current situation. Regular telephone calls, emails, internet communication through Skype, etc. now there are various messaging and calling apps for the smart phones that can be used easily with very less cost.

In order to enjoy the smooth living in the foreign country, the parents must educate their children to obey the customs and laws of that country. The students must not disobey any law at any cost. It could be a serious threat to them. They must behave in a manner that the local people think it respectful. They must respect the customs of the country.

Besides avoiding all the risks, still the parents should be regularly in contact with their children’s and must also provide an alternate emergency contact number to the university or campus so that they could be contacted incase of any emergency situation. This is an important safety measure.
