Description

Many students who want to study abroad often get confused about the country. They don’t know which country to choose. There are many countries in which there are many top notch universities of the world. When we talk about U.S, it comes at the top of the list of international student’s study destinations especially in the case of higher education.

We will explain some important facts of the admission procedures I the universities and colleges in the U.S

No Centralized Admission Procedure

The students can apply to any college and as many colleges they want. There is no centralized admission process in the U.S which can be equally good or bad. It is good in a sense that you are offered more liberty and choice in choosing the institute for application but the problem is that you have to apply differently to every university. The students who want to have a wide choice of colleges to apply for must choose the U.S for their study abroad plan.

The Students Can Apply Early Decision

It is rather a new concept to foreign students. Your early decision can give you the chance of application and can be accepted early but this early decision is allowed for one university and you have to attend it in case you are admitted there. The chances of admission are more as compared to the admission through normal process.

The Admission Process Is Difficult

In the U.S the admission process in the universities is a bit difficult as compared to the other countries. There are far more requirements other than just good marks. The students are required to participate in extracurricular activities as well as perform well during studies. Therefore it is a bit different to take admission in the schools and colleges in the U.S and the students might be asked about a number of other extra things like the scores of TOEFL, SAT etc. They may need to provide personal statements and recommendation letter.

In personal statement applicants can express their qualities that make his distinction from others.

This requirement makes the procedure of admission more difficult and easier at the same time. This makes the admission easier in the sense that if your academic performance is not very strong, but if you possess some extraordinary qualities, you may be selected for the admission.

The Universities Offer a Wide Range of Majors

It is very interesting that the students can join the university in the U.S with an unsure major till their second year ends. It is unlike our home country in which the students have to specify the subjects they want to study at the time of application.

You have to apply for some specific program in other countries however in the USA, the students are given two years to experience and study different subjects and determine their interests. The U.S universities offer a wide range of study course ad subjects to take as majors.
