<p>
	Are you a fresh researcher looking into international development, peacebuilding, or cultural relations? The <strong>British Council</strong> and the <strong>Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH)</strong> <strong>of the University of Edinburgh</strong> are providing the 90th Anniversary Research Fellowship for 2026, which is fully financed.<br />
	This is an excellent opportunity for scholars from certain countries to spend a year in the UK, do multidisciplinary research, and collaborate with leading academics, all while sharing knowledge on a global scale.</p>

	About the Fellowship</h2>
<p>
	To mark its 90th anniversary, the British Council is supporting two promising early-career academics from countries eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA). The purpose is to strengthen cultural and educational ties between the UK and other countries through valuable research.</p>

		Academic guidance and support</li>

		Networking lunches and seminars</li>

		Possible visits to British Council offices</li>

	Who Should Apply?</h2>
<p>
	This opportunity is ideal for scholars who:</p>
<ul>
	<li>
		Are citizens of an ODA-eligible nation such as Pakistan, Nigeria, India, or Bangladesh.</li>
	<li>
		Obtained their PhD between 2018 and 2025.</li>
	<li>
		Have no permanent academic job</li>
</ul>
<ul>
	<li>
		Have not previously held an IASH Fellowship</li>
	<li>
		Have limited study experience in the UK or other non-ODA countries.</li>
</ul>
