<p>
	The Graduate School of Korean Studies just opened up fellowship applications for international students on their website. They&#39;re looking for students who are working on their Master&#39;s or PhD at a university outside of Korea.</p>
<p>
	The AKS Graduate Fellowship is a 6-month program at the Academy of Korean Studies aimed at graduate students focusing on Korean studies. It runs from September 1 to February 28, 2025, at the GSKS Academy. International students looking to expand their knowledge about Korea through research are welcome to apply. The fellowship provides support like a monthly payment, round-trip flights, housing, and more. You can apply now, but be sure to submit your application by May 9, 2025.</p>

	Fellowship Benefits</h2>
<ul style="margin-left: 40px;">
	<li>
		You&rsquo;ll get a monthly stipend of 750,000 KRW.</li>
	<li>
		Also, you&#39;ll have a round-trip economy airfare covered, but it can&#39;t go over 2,060,000 KRW per person, based on what&rsquo;s set by the Ministry of Economy and Finance for 2025.</li>
	<li>
		Staying in the on-campus dormitory won&rsquo;t cost you anything.</li>
	<li>
		The fellowship runs from September 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, and it lasts for six months (no extensions).</li>
	<li>
		You&rsquo;ll need to pick one of the AKS professors who knows your research area well to be your advisor during this time.</li>
	<li>
		You&rsquo;ll also have access to AKS facilities, like the library and Jangseogak Archives.</li>
	<li>
		Plus, you can take Korean language courses for free.</li>

	Hey everyone interested in the GSKS Fellowship! Here are the criteria you need to meet:</p>

		You can apply if you&#39;re a foreign national or a Korean national who studied outside of Korea.</li>
	<li>
		This is open to students currently working on a master&rsquo;s or PhD.</li>
	<li>
		If you&#39;ve finished your coursework but haven&#39;t graduated yet, you can still apply.</li>
	<li>
		Your research topic must be related to Korean studies.</li>
</ul>
