Description
<p> The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) is offering full-funded scholarships in Biomedical Science (GPiBS). Best thing about this is students will be graduated with a PhD degree as the duration of the program is 5 years. The course outline revolves around Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and prepares its students for academia research, healthcare and other relevant fields. Students will be given a choice to learn from various mentors by giving an option of laboratory rotation so they can be skilled in all domain. </p> <h2> Benefits</h2> <ul> <li> <p> Application fee is not required at the time of submitting application.</p> </li> <li> <p> Tuition fees will be covered by the scholarship.</p> </li> <li> <p> Students will receive annual stipend of $36,000. </p> </li> <li> <p> Additionally, fellowship incentive of $2,000 per year will be provided. </p> </li> <li> <p> University health club will offer free gym membership to the students.</p> </li> <li> <p> Health insurance will be covered.</p> </li> <li> <p> Those who are interested in teaching jobs will be facilitated through PREP program instead of working as teaching assistants. </p> </li> <li> <p> Faculty mentors for the accepted students will be available and 150 will participate in this program with their labs. Students can join labs on rotation during their program to learn various skills of seven domains of Biology.</p> </li> <li> <p> Academically students will be assisted to publish 5.32 papers with mentors during 5 years PhD program. </p> </li> </ul> <h2> Requirements</h2> <ul> <li> <p> Students must have undergraduate degree in the relevant field of study.</p> </li> <li> <p> An excellent academic record is encouraged. However, students with ¾ CGPA may also get accepted due to their enthusiasm and research motivation. </p> </li> <li> <p> Application Procedure</p> </li> <li> <p> Application procedure is online through the portal. </p> </li> <li> <p> After creating the account on official admission site, students are required to upload following documents for the successful application:</p> </li> <li> <p> Academic Transcript</p> </li> <li> <p> A<a href="https://www.studyabroad.pk/news-event/how-to-write-an-impressive-personal-statement-23773" target="_blank"> Personal Statement</a>. It should highlight the applicant’s enthusiasm for biomedical engineering with reasoning and examples and why he is choosing GPiBS for it. Other than that, it is crucial to showcase your strengths and career aims in the statement.
