Stakeholders are optimistically saying that the United Arab Emirates, UAE extends the eligibility for its 10-years golden visa. This initiative will encourage international students to start their higher education in the UAE.

	It has seen that in spite of strict immigration and visa system, the UAE has taken steps forward to extend the duration of stay and flexibility in certain categories. The eligibility for the golden visas had extended in the last year, 2020. In the previous time, the option was available for some specific categories including property investors, talented professionals, and students. But, now, the option has extended to all Ph.D. holders, physicians, top-performing graduates, and the employees of high-tech fields such as big data and artificial intelligence, AI.

	The Managing Director of Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park, Mohammad Abdullah said that they have over 27000 students from almost 150 countries who are studying in the universities within the park.

	Muhammad Abdulla said that the golden visa is a way to support the universities in attracting students from different countries in the world. Those who will come and study in the country will get the opportunity to start their professional careers in the country later on. The education system is getting the biggest upheaval in decades, but our communities are unique in adapting it. It is further said that a number of future-focused campuses that are already operational with the favorable rules and regulations suggested by the wiser leaders are the ways that have made the Emirates the most learning and developed destination for international students.

	Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City were launched in 2003 and 2007 respectively. However, Heriot-Watt University Dubai is also going to move into the park in April 2021.
