New Zealand reveals the new plan for international students according to which a limited number of students, who are intended to start postgraduate and Ph.D. studies in New Zealand, are allowed to get entrance permission for study in New Zealand. However, it is expected that the arrival of international students would take place in November.

Recently the government of New Zealand announced that only 250 students are offered entrance permission to start their higher education in New Zealand. It has also planned that the first international student will arrive in New Zealand in November and the rest of the students would start their journey at the beginning of 2021. The government is managing the isolation and quarantine facilities for those coming international students in New Zealand. However, it has also revealed that the traveling timetable would also be dependent upon the arrangements of these quarantine facilities.

The Remarks Of Education Minister

While taking this decision the education minister of New Zealand, Chris Hipkins has revealed that through the international education system the country will go through recovery and rebuilding processes. This decision will enable the country to welcome the foreign candidates for postgraduate studies in New Zealand. He further remarks that those are the students who are holding a New Zealand student visa for 2020 study programs and were unable to travel due to Covid-19 restrictions. However, the priority will be given to the candidates who are intended to come to New Zealand for the practical component of their studies and research.

The government has also revealed the basic criteria for the international students according to which those international students are welcomed who are enrolled with some practical components including medicine, veterinary, engineering, laboratory sciences, and agricultural research, etc. because those students cannot complete their studies while living outside the campuses.

In order to identify and to priorities international students, the education minister has started working with the Immigration New Zealand and Tertiary Education Organizations.

Role Of International Students In New Zealand

The education minister Hapkin said that international students with Ph.D. and other postgraduate study programs play a significant role in the innovation system and research. However, the global reputation and competitiveness of the country’s institutes can also be boosted by international students.

Another statement by the ministry of education has revealed that the government is reviewing further border exceptions and these will be done when the situation will be normal and safe.

Get All Other Updates For Study In New Zealand

Obviously, after hearing this news most of the students would ask that when the normal enrollment process to study in New Zealand will begin. Well, students are informed that the government of New Zealand is working to bring the potential opportunities not only to facilitate the international students with the quality worldwide recognized higher education but also to maintain its reputation as the world’s leading study abroad destination.

However, all other updates would be uploaded here from time to time, and students are advised to keep engaged with Studyabroad.pk for New Zealand and all other study abroad latest updates.
