<div class="content-description"> <p style="text-align: justify;"> Professor Dr Oguz Baburoglu of Sabanci University, Istanbul visited Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood yesterday in Islamabad. Dr Oguz is also CEO of a Turkish firm which focuses on academic designing and community called ARAMA research and <a href="https://www.studyabroad.pk/consultants/" target="_blank"><span><strong>consultancy</strong></span></a>. The firm designs faculties and academic programmes of new Universities and upgrade the management of existing Universities as well. The Turkish professor was impressed by passion and dedication of Higher Education Commission officials; he shared his views during his meeting with Education Minister. He said that he wants the education sector of Pakistan to flourish and grow.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> Dr Oguz Baburoglu has played a vital role in development of top rated <a href="https://www.ilmkidunya.com/scholarships/scholarships-in-turkey.aspx" target="_blank"><span><strong>Turkish Universities</strong></span></a> such as: Abdullah Gul, Atatürk , Ozyegin and Sabanci Universities. He expressed his motives to work for expansion and designing of Pakistani Universities. He further offered his services and expertise for PM Imran Khan’s plan of converting the Prime Minister Secretariat into the Islamabad National University. The Turkish professor himself is trained from Wharton Business School.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> The Turkish Professor was here in Pakistan for one day visit, he was hosted by his fellow alumni of University of Pennsylvania, Professor R.A. Siddiqui. Professor R.A Siddiqui is a former professor of Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad and currently a guest lecturer at the University. During the meeting Dr Orgus met Education Minister of Pakistan along with Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr Tariq Banuri and Chief of Business Administration of National University of Science and Technology.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> The Education System in Turkey went through many reformations after Turkish War of Independence. Education system in Turkey is supervised by the Government and is designed in accordance to policies established by Ataturk. There are 167 Universities in Turkey and there almost 60 research organizations and institutes. As per recent calculations, more than 800 Pakistani students are studying in Turkish Universities.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> Although Pakistani constitutes a small community in Turkey, yet Pakistani people consider Turkey as friendly and welcoming host for them. The governments of both countries also share strong bilateral relationships and have been supporting each other politically and strategically. The Turkish Universities have research expertise in the fields of agriculture, forestry, health, biotechnology, nuclear technologies, minerals, materials, IT, and defense.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> The Turkish Government encourages enrollment of international students including Pakistani students in its Universities. The Turkish Universities are running many state funded <a href="https://www.studyabroad.pk/scholarships/" target="_blank"><span><strong>scholarships</strong></span></a> for foreign students. These scholarships offer fee waivers, accommodation finance, Health expenses, travel expenses and living expenses for foreign students.
