Description

Every year a large number of Pakistani students go abroad for higher education in different countries including UK, USA, Canada and Australia. Following the pandemic, a number of countries have reported an increase in the immigration of foreign students, which has left them with a number of problems, including housing. As a result, these countries are now implementing stricter guidelines for graduate/post-study work visas as well as study visas.

The following countries have modified their immigration laws recently, particularly as it relates to study visa:

UK Government New Rules For International Students

Attend a course at one of the most prominent universities in the world. Explore the outdoors in the untamed regions of Wales or the Scottish Highlands. Take walks on Belfast's or London's city streets in between classes. Knowing how to study abroad in the UK will open up a world of opportunities for you. The UK is consistently ranked among the best places to study abroad.

Based on an analysis carried out by the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC), the UK released a report on immigration recently. According to the report, more than 7.50 lakh students enroll in independent, language, and higher education institutions in the UK each year. In light of this, the current prime minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, declared that the British government would take action to lower immigration statistics because they are "too high." There are two new rules, international students have to follow for the academic year 2024.

No dependent visa approval

No switch to work visa from student visa

In keeping with his word, Rishi Sunak has declared that international students who are not pursuing postgraduate research degrees are not permitted to bring their families to the UK.

Until studies are finished, international students will not be able to transition from a student visa to a work visa.

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Check Details About UK Government New Visa Policies<span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">

Australia’s New Migration Rules For International Students

Despite having a population of just 23 million, Australia has the third-highest number of international students in the world, behind only the United States and the United Kingdom. Considering that Australia is home to seven of the world's top 100 universities, this is not shocking! In fact, Australia ranks eighth in the Universities Ranking of National Higher Education Systems, surpassing countries like Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan with over 22,000 courses spread across 1,100 institutions. Recently Australia’s government has announced new migration rules and policies for study visas. Two most important new Australian study visa policies are as follows

No GTE Requirement

Higher English Language Scores Requirement

Australia’s government has removed GTE from study visa requirements and instead of this, they require genuine student test to give a pathway for those who actually eligible to study and getting work visa there after graduation.

The Australian government recently declared that higher scores on English proficiency exams like the TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo English test would now be necessary for admission to Australian universities like

For temporary graduate visa: 6.5 (before this it was 6)

For study visa: From 5.5 to 6.0

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Australi's Migration Policies 2024<span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">

Canadian Immigration Policies 2024 For International Students

Canada is home to hundreds of thousands of international students from all over the world each year. Studying in Canada is an investment in your future. Students use their internationally recognized Canadian qualifications to advance their career and receive a great return on their investment. Student’s network and education in Canada help them to get ready for the future, whether they choose to stay in Canada or go back to their home country. Canadian minister of immigration has announced new visas policies for international students applying for the academic year 2024.

According to Marc Miller, Minister Of Immigration Canada “Beginning on January 1, 2024, the minimum financial requirement for students to cover their cost of living will increase from the current 10,000 Canadian dollars to 20,635 Canadian dollars”.

French Government New Rules For International Students 2024

A popular option for students who want to work in industries like fashion, culinary arts, management, business, etc., France is making improvements to facilitate international students' study abroad experiences.

According to the new regulations, the French government has extended the previously sponsored two-year Post-Study Work visa to five years for students pursuing a Master's degree in France. Recently, France announced that students can apply for a five-year Schengen visa for short-term stays and look into job opportunities if they have studied there for at least one semester toward a master's degree.

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Employment In France After Graduation<span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">

New 2024 Visa Policies By Immigration New Zealand

New Zealand government has announced that they will accept “IELTS One Skill Retake Option”. It means, students can appear in any single section of IELTS test if they did not meet the desire level of it.
