This is an excellent opportunity for the talented and bright candidates to acquire knowledge and skills and conduct researches in <a href="https://www.studyabroad.pk/universities/universities-in-united-kingdom" target="_blank"><strong>top UK universities</strong></a>. This fully funded PhD scholarship is eligible for the universities of all the commonwealth states of UK.</p> <h2> Commonwealth Split Site Scholarship 2023 – 2024 Facts</h2> <ul> <li> <p> <strong>Scholarship Type:</strong> Fully funded</p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Program:</strong> PhD</p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Hosting Country:</strong> United Kingdom </p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Hosting University:</strong> All the Universities of Commonwealth States of UK </p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Duration of Scholarship:</strong> 12 Months</p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Scholarship Program Will Start: </strong>September 2023 </p> </li> <li> <p> <strong>Last Date to Apply:</strong> 2<sup>nd</sup> March 2023</p> </li> </ul> <h2> Purpose of Commonwealth Split Site Scholarship</h2> <p> The purpose of this scholarship is to make it easier for high-caliber doctoral candidates from low- and middle-income Commonwealth nations to access UK equipment and expertise, as well as to make a contribution to higher education and research in the UK and the Commonwealth through partnerships and collaborations.</p> <h2> Commonwealth Scholarship Commission Themes</h2> <p> The six CSC development themes under which all Commonwealth Scholarships are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Department (FCDO) are as follows:</p> <ul> <li> <p> Science and technology for development</p> </li> <li> <p> Promoting global prosperity</p> </li> <li> <p> Strengthening resilience and response to crises</p> </li> <li> <p> Strengthening health systems and capacity</p> </li> <li> <p> Strengthening global peace, security and governance</p> </li> <li> <p> Access, inclusion and opportunity</p> </li> </ul> <h2> Commonwealth Split Site Scholarship Coverage</h2> <ul> <li> <p> The entire fee will be covered</p> </li> <li> <p> A stipend of £1,236 will be paid to the students each month.</p> </li> <li> <p> The monthly stipend will be £1,516 if the student's university is in the London Metropolitan area.</p> </li> <li> <p> A return flight ticket will be given. Approved flights from your home country to the United Kingdom and back after the completion of your scholarship program.</p> </li> <li> <p> A travel grant for the study will be provided.</p> </li> <li> <p> Warm clothing allowance will be provided (may vary in different states)</p> </li> <li> <p> The first child allowance of £529 and the second and third child allowances of £131 per month will be provided to widowed, divorced or single parents.</p> </li> </ul> <h2> Commonwealth Split Site Scholarship Eligibility Criteria</h2> <ul> <li> <p> Candidates from commonwealth countries are eligible to <a href="https://www.studyabroad.pk/scholarships/" target="_blank">apply for the scholarship</a> (Pakistan is a part of commonwealth countries).</p> </li> <li> <p> British protected person can also apply.</p> </li> <li> <p> At the time of the scholarship's confirmation (September 2023), the applicant must already be enrolled in a PhD program at one of the Commonwealth nations' universities.</p> </li> <li> <p> A candidate must have completed master’s degree in subjects relevant to your PhD program.</p> </li> <li> <p> Check to see if there is a connection between your home university and the UK University you are considering. That connection can be an institutional or departmental link between your home university and proposed UK University.</p> </li> <li> <p> To ensure that your application is eligible, both supervisors must provide a supporting statement that provides additional information about the link. Applications that do not include both statements will be rejected.</p> </li> </ul> <h2> Commonwealth Split Site Scholarship Required Documents</h2> <ul> <li> <p> A valid passport or national CNIC card with your visible picture.</p> </li> <li> <p> All previous academic transcripts (translated in English if they are in any other language).</p> </li> <li> <p> Minimum of two references on institutional letterhead.</p> </li> <li> <p> One statement of support on institutional letterhead from the current supervisor at the home university</p> </li> <li> <p> One statement of support from a supervisor in the United Kingdom from at least one of the institutions listed on the application form.</p> </li> </ul> <h2> Commonwealth Split Site Scholarship Application Process</h2> <ul> <li> <p> Candidates must apply to a university that has a funding agreement with the CSC. The <a href="https://cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk/apply/uk-universities/part-funding/" target="_blank">list of part funding universities</a>.</p> </li> <li> <p> All candidates must register themselves through <a href="https://fs29.formsite.com/m3nCYq/rrdstgrnjg/index.html" target="_blank">CSC online registration system</a>.</p> </li> <li> <p> Provide all of your personal details and upload the requested documents. (Mentioned above)</p> </li> <li> <p> Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected.</p> </li> <li> <p> If a candidate fails to submit even one supporting statement from your home university supervisor or UK university supervisor, his application will be directly rejected.</p> </li> <li> <p> Application process can be saved into your CSC online registration system but make sure to submit your application way before the deadline (2<sup>nd</sup> March 2023)</p> </li> </ul> <h2> Deadline To Apply For CSC Split Site Scholarships</h2> <p> The last date to apply for Split Site scholarship is 2<sup>nd</sup> March 2023. </p>
