The recent Covid-19 restrictions are taking a toll on everyone. International students have found it particularly challenging due to the current Covid-19 limitations. The majority of students are waiting impatiently for word on their return to Australia so they may restart their studies.

	International enrollments at Australian universities have plummeted as a result of border restrictions that prohibit international students from returning to Australian universities. Universities in South Australia alone have seen a 33 percent drop in international enrollments.

	Plea to the Federal Government</h2>

	In order to maintain the number of international enrolments, universities in South Australia have issued a plea to the federal government to intervene and allow international students to return to Australia, as this initiative will help to mitigate the loss they are experiencing as a result of the Covid-19 restrictions.

	Flinders University&#39;s vice-president and pro vice-chancellor, Sebastian Raneskold finds the fall in international enrolments deeply concerning not only for the universities but also for the economy of South Australia that benefits tremendously from international students as the data suggests that prior to the pandemic international students were worth 2 billion Australian dollars per year to the South Ausrtralian economy. Sebastian Raneskold believes that at this point, an immediate activation of the plan for the arrival of international students back in Australia is critical.

	This could include dedicated quarantining facilities for international students to ensure their return doesn&rsquo;t affect general repatriation efforts.&rdquo; He said in an interview with the News Crop Australia.

	News Crop Australia has published a report which suggests that, international enrollments from China in South Australia have decreased by 20% since the start of the fatal epidemic, while enrollments from India have decreased by 35%.

	Alan Tudge, in a recent interview with sky news has said that plans to allow international students to return to Australia are being developed by New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.
